PACsecure / HACCP
Layfield Packaging's Preventative Actions
PACsecure was originally developed for the
Canadian packaging/converting sector for products that may have direct or incidental
contact with food and beverage products. There were rules and guidelines for
packaging and converting companies to follow which were strictly compliant with
Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point regulations. The rules and guidelines involve a systematic
approach that addresses biological, chemical, and physical hazards through
preventative action rather than by finished product inspection and is
recognized by the Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Health
Organization.
At Layfield, we have an uncompromising commitment
to provide our customers with products that are not only safe for packaging
food and other durables, but we also practice the highest level of ethical
standards through the manufacturing process. PACsecure is a direct acknowledgement
to back up our statements of incomparable standards.
We believe that quality and safety during
the manufacturing process means two things:
- Delivering products and services
that exceed our customers’ expectations on-time with no defects
- Continuously improving and upgrading
our quality and safety programs to benefit you as our customer
Quality
is what you want, so that is what we will give you. It has been Layfield’s
dedication to quality that has allowed several third-party organizations to put
their stamp of certification on our products. PACsecure/HACCP performed multiple
audits of our plant to be sure we were an eligible company to seek their
certification, and on February 10, 2010,
the PAC President and CEO James Downham announced the that Layfield indeed
passed their stringent audits. View Press Release.
