We manufacture shrink films for unitizing, most commonly for trays of cans or bottles reducing corrugated usage.
Multiple – packs or “bulk” packs are also a popular application for industrial shrink film. Unless otherwise specified, our films have minimum transverse direction (TD) shrink, good “stackability” and are sold by net weight. The shrink film we produce is manufactured within a +/- 3% gauge variation, versus typical 10% or more variation from most film extruders, which means you get honest yield numbers which equates to cost savings.
Unlike most film extruders, we consider shrink film to be a performance application and not a commodity. For each specific application we run the same resins with the same extrusion conditions every time to ensure consistent performance and continuity of supply. Many customers have different requirements within the same facility, so we often make customized films (MD/TD shrink ratios, COF, etc ) destined for the same plant.
